Autumn Walk

Posted in General News | No Comments »

Last week Beech Class went on an autumn walk around the grounds of school.

They found lots of signs that we were in the season of autumn.

When they were back in the classroom the children made autumn pictures in the style of the artist ‘Andy Goldsworthy’.

Andy Goldsworthy creates artwork based on nature.  I think you’ll agree that these are just as good as his!

The children also wrote adjectives for autumn onto coloured leaves.  These have been displayed in the classroom.

The children have also been writing shape poems for autumn, they have created lots of words as a group, then they wrote their own sentences and finally they wrote a shape poem on their chosen shape of either, Tractor, Jar of Jam, Leaves.

What a great time we’ve all had in Beech class looking at ‘Autumn’.
